Computone Lyricon II, Serial Number B329. This Lyricon II is a NOS instrument that has not been previously sold. It has been in storage for more than 40 years! It has been totally refurbished, with a new membrane in the wind transducer, and new, modern optical sensor components. These components are superior to the vintage, primitive components available in the 1970’s. The voltage reference circuit in the controller has been improved. The contacts have been cleaned. The console has been tested, upgraded, cleaned (all pots and switches) and calibrated. The Lyricon II has two built in VCO’s, VCA’s and a Filter section. It is ready to be connected to an amplifier and make music. There is an expansion port (connector included) that can provide control voltages for wind and lip/pitch. This allows connection to an off board synthesizer. The controller is also compatible with our Eurorack module.
This is a beautiful instrument, the pearl buttoned controller is in exceptional, like new shape, and the control panel is spotless. There is a few tiny spots of rust on the outside case hardware (hinges and latches), having sat in a cellar for 40+ years.
Included is a power cord, expansion port connector, case key, manual, and even the original warrantee postcard! Don’t send it in though; there’s nobody there.

The Lyricon Company Euro-Rack Module. We also design and manufacture accessories, including a Euro-Rack Lyricon interface module that works with the Lyricon II and Driver controllers (horns). This module provides a sub-set of the Control Voltages produced by a Wind Driver Console, and so removes the need for the actual console (the case); great for touring! This module would typically be installed in a Euro-Rack modular synthesizer, along with the minimum of a VCA module and a VCO module, of which there are dozens of each to choose from.
